Hello,
like some others i have been lurking, reading the posts and getting a feel of the place. my name is Judith, you may have met me on other literary/history sites. i have been an avid reader of historical fact and fiction since i was a child. when i hit forty i went back to uni and studied English and medieval history and since i graduated have been concentrating on writing my own. i try to write the sort of books i love to read, Bernard Cornwell, Pamella Belle, Sharon Penman. my first novel, Peaceweaver, was published in November 09 and has been enjoying mild success and recently a volume of poetry, Waving at Trains. i look forward to discussing historical fiction old and new. id be interested to hear what reader love/hate about the genre so i can improve my own work. most of all its just great to have new friends with similar interests. i shall now go and jump right in!
