Hi veronica and welcome, I'm sure you'll feel at home here.

I love historical fiction and loved the Other Boleyn Girl which got me back into HF, although I also like thrillers and family sagas too.

We're pretty international on here as I'm sure you'll see, lots of different viewpoints!

Hi Veronica. Nice to meet you. A lot of us may write, but all of us read. Our interests are varied but we do all love Historical Fiction and we get along well. And, echoing others, we're all over the globe. We also like new people. :)

Veronica, I don't write either. I get lots of ideas for books to read here. I also enjoy hearing what the authors have to say and am glad to have the opportunity to ask some of them questions about their books as I am reading them. Welcome!

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Hi Veronica. Please don't let all the threads about writing HF put you off. This is a site for and about readers. There are other forums just for writers.

I love this place because it is where my favorite kind of books are discussed, and I get to hear what others thought of certain scenes or themes. It's good to hear viewpoints other than your own, expecially the ones that differ widely!

Hi Veronica!

We're all biblioholics, first and foremost, with a particular passion for HF. Everything else is secondary! There are some authors and some who are simply passionate about reading their output. And compared to a lot of other Internet 'hangouts' this is indeed a small and friendly spot. So hope you stick around & look forward to 'seeing you' on the board!

Hello and welcome from another bookworm! This is a great site for discussing books and sometimes just chatting. As previously said, there are members from all over the world and everyone here is friendly. Enjoy!
