Thanks, SPB. Cool Moniker. I lived in London for two 6 month periods in a flat just north of Kensington gardens. I loved it. There's some pretty cool physics coming out of the Imperial College, so I'm considering heading back. Rent looks a bit pricey though.

I almost never come in this section (not because I'm anti-social so much as time is limited and my computer runs slow) but your thread title hooked me. Nice to meet you, Doug. I'm a major Austen fan, and also a Gaskell devotee. Sounds like you're putting together a great magazine.
