Went with my brother to see the Hobbit and we both enjoyed it immensely. We (two late middle-aged gentlemen) had to restrain ourselves from standing up and cheering at the end! Wonderful!
What did you like best, and what are you looking forward to in the next movies?

I have "Memoirs of a Geisha" waiting for me from my Netflix DVD queue, but haven't gotten to it yet. Even on a Sunday! I fiddled away my day on Netflix streaming instead ...

Les Misérables. I'm not sure if I want to sing or cry. And also... it was great.

Over the holiday break, kids and I watched Men in Black 3, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. All agreed that Bilbo's riddle scene with Gollum was the best part of The Hobbit. Hubby and I also watched Letters from Iwo Jima.

Hornblower- Duty. It's the only one I've seen before. And also, Ioan Gruffudd in a Royal Navy uniform.

Finally got to see Anna Karenina (had to wait until hubby read the book.) An absolutely beautifully directed and filmed movie--most action takes place on a stage or in the catwalks of an old empty theater. The costume designer deserved the Oscar nomination. All the extras move like dancers. But the unusual staging took me out of the story.

"Unknown" with Liam Neeson - not as good as "Taken", but not bad in a disengage-the-brain sort of way.

Took my Mum to see Les Mis. She said it was the best film she'd ever seen.

I thought it was very good, but too long!!
