Sherlock, each episode is like a movie. Now I'm done, but I want more.
rebecca, if you like edgy fairy tales, you might enjoy Catherine Breillat's "Bluebeard" - it's not typical of a lot of her work in being completely outre' (she's known for damn near brutal filmmaking, emotionally and physically), but it does focus on themes she's explored before (coming of age, relationships, death). The production itself is fairly straight-faced, with a very nice frame story featuring a tiny little stunner of an actress who impressed me very much. Available on Netflix streaming, it might be worth a watch; I watched it in my lead-up to Hallowe'en, just a week or so ago. :)
Thanks Diane I will note it down. We may soon be moving *fingers crossed* and so I'll be pretty busy packing things up. But the film looks interesting and I don't mind a little bit of dark humour. :p

I still have the final two eps available on Netflix to go, but have largely enjoyed it. There are some pretty clanging issues with the translation to modern London (the episode featuring Exotic Asians was pretty squirmily 19th-century in its presentation, and there are some fairly insane requirements put on the Willing Suspension of Disbelief), but I like the characters a great deal.

rebecca, when you get to see it, let me know what you think!

Midnight last night and if I had been feeling better, I think hubby would have pulled me kicking and screaming to go see it. I'm pretty sure that will be on the agenda the next few weeks or so...

Vashon is different then off island theaters, sometimes movies don't show up for a few months or at all.

I remember watching that show when it first broadcasted on PBS.
