I watched Centurion last night....the acting was a bit stiff by the lead, but I enjoyed the portrayal of the Roman legions in Britain and I did like the way they left it - at the time Hadrian was building his great wall. Visually stunning film though...just found the plotline a bit weak.

1999 Mansfield Park again. Lovely film, and very watchable but they changed way too much.

Watched "Gladiator" for a pod-cast review (where you re-appraise the classics) and I have to say it was still brilliant. That music! Just awesome.

Watched Vertigo on the big screen. And Lifeboat on DVD.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

I loved that movie! I did a "reel vs. real" analysis when it first came out which I posted on my blog. It's not a movie review, but a history behind the film discussion.

Which version? I didn't much care for the original, but I was pretty young when I saw it.

Oh me too! Mind you it didn't help that I was about 12 or 13 at the time and was forced to sit through it at school as a special "treat" - the projector kept breaking down too which only prolonged the tedium. :p :(
