Black Swan. Brilliant! Natalie Portman thoroughly deserves all the awards she's gonna win. Great supporting cast too, including Barbara Hershey as Nat's mad mum, and Winona Ryder as an over-the-hill dancer. It's very Hitchcockian - sort of Marnie meets The Red Shoes - and one of those rare films that nails female psychology. Almost painful to watch at times...

Watched 'Emma' yesterday.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Which Emma Rowan? There are four adaptations of the Austen novel. Two or three of which (depending on tastes) are good.

You mean Nefret. My favourite is Paltrow's.

Who is Rowan?

Yes, that was the version I saw.

Apologies, Nefret. Rowan recently mentioned a film she saw that has more than one version. My pain-addled brain seems to have mixed the two of you up.

I like the Paltrow/Northam version. Can't imagine a better Mr. Knightley.

Been watching The Adventures of Sir Lancelot from 1956. Kind of fun in a lousy production sort of way. Nice clean entertainment my kids can watch, and some of the plotting is actually pretty good. Costumes aren't as horrible as one would expect. Some episodes have even been colorized. Not bad for mindless entertainment.

Saw the Swedish film The Girl Who Played with Fire, sequel to The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, based on the 2nd book in the Millenium series.

Do not watch either unless you read the books.

I believe they would have been better as a long miniseries.
