SonjaMarie--"X-Men: First Class" last night! Good movie, good looking guys, a funny cameo by another hot guy, what more can you ask for?!"

I swear I only watched it for the performance and not the hot actors....I mean who's to know that James has incredibly blue eyes and sexy Michael has green eyes and the hot Aussie with the brown eyes...I never notice these things, I swear...LOL :D

Nefret
I really liked Chocolat...A very lyrical movie and it also had Depp..Not that I took particlar notice ofcourse...*as my nose grows longer* LOL :D

I did not like the television version of Jane Eyre done a few years back with Toby Stephens-I thought he was a really bad choice though the girl who played Jane was good(er Ruth Wilson?). But this version has the green eyed hunk Fassbender....As for Mia when they have long names I just say..Mia Watchamacaller...LOL :p

SURE! I didn't even know the hot Aussie was in it! He actually made movie history as the first actor to play the same comic book character in 5 movies, and it'll be 6 times soon.

James was very yummy as Charles.

Chocolat was also a good book.

I've not seen any X-Men movies past The Last Stand.
I quite liked Jane Eyre Bec, but I know what you mean - there's been so many productions, it's difficult to see what could be new about it. I thought it was incredibly atmospheric and quite spooky in places, Mia Wasikowska (pardon my spelling if it's wrong! :o ) as Jane was fab too. I'd love to see a film of Anne Bronte's Tenant of Wildfell Hall :)
There has been a BBC production of Tenant of Wildfell Hall, done about 20 years ago. (*runs off to IMDB to check...*) Yup, lets see if I can do the linky-thing WildFell Hall info
I really enjoyed the mini-series, I haven't read the book, so can't say how true to it the show was.

I was scrolling through the list of On Demand movies Saturday and was surprised and delighted to find the French, 1995 Lelouch adaptation of Les Misérables. It seemed that for a good long while this film was mostly forgotten. I hope it's being resurrected again. It's not a straight-forward adaptation of the book. It explores the characters as archetypes, and in this case the film covers the beginning of the 20thC through WWII, with most of the emphasis on WWII. It was nice to watch it again.

"X-Men First Class" arrived in its red envelope yesterday and I indulged immediately. Add me to the list of people who only watched for the great acting! ;)

Rachel Getting Married. Great performances, and a touching film but also takes a toll on the watcher. Heavy emotional issues.

It seems like I may be the only one nerding myself to death on Hallowe'en movies (as I do with Hallowe'en costumes, music, Poe readings, and outings!) ...

The Netflix queue currently has Dreyer's "Vampyr" at my home, with "The Bride" and "Red Riding Hood" coming up next, and my personal collection including "Sleepy Hollow" and Langella's "Dracula" often come off the shelves at this time of year.

Mostly, I like these movies for themselves, not as-such being a horror aficionado, but I do like to indulge in seasonal entertainment around All Hallow's Eve.

I don't know about your being the only one, Diane. I'm sure there are others doing the same. I just don't do Halloween at all.

Watched a flim called Then She Found Me. Both funny and heart-rending. Good cast.
