Remembering Dame Diana Rigg

Post by princess garnet » Sun September 13th, 2020, 8:40 pm

Dame Diana Rigg played many memorable roles on stage and screen. She was the long time host of PBS's "Mystery!" series and remembered here for it:

A few roles I remember her:
  • Mrs. Danvers in Rebecca (1997)
Baroness Louise Lehzen in "Victoria & Albert" (2001)
Tracy in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"
Duchess of Buccleuch in "Victoria" season 2
Adela Bradley in "The Mrs. Bradley Mysteries"

My husband is a big fan of Avengers, and he’s always had a huge crush on her. Very sad news.

Very sad news. I remember her as Mrs Danvers, she also won a BAFTA for another creepy turn in Mother Love, plus more recently Olenna Tyrrell in Game of Thrones, an episode of Dr Who with her daughter, and she's on screen now in the Uk as Mrs Pumphrey in the new version of All Creatures Great and Small. She'll be much missed.
