As a longtime fan of the series who never missed an episode, I thought the movie was very well done. It's hard to revisit a series and tell a movie-length story that recaptures the original (if you saw the HBO Deadwood movie, you'll see the exact opposite -- a leaden revisit that's barely a shadow of the fine series). Kudos to Julian Fellowes for another crackling script with the usual suburb casting, costumes and sets. It only could have been better if they'd lured back O'Brien, that delicious villainess.

In 6th and final season, Violet went to southern France, needing space from the row about her place on the board for the local hospital. Wonder if the villa is where she spent time while there!
