- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Re: The Spanish Princess
Oh good! More people getting curious about 16th century Spain. I think the Tudors have been pretty well covered, but people like to add to the stories they are already familiar with. So let's branch out to the rest of Europe! Or the Ottoman Empire! Persia! China! India!
Does anybody know that Ivan IV (the Terrible) sent Elizabeth I a marriage proposal?

Sounds interesting, will look for it.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Re: The Spanish Princess
They do realize they can do historical dramas that aren't based on Philippa Gregory's novels? It could just be based on... you know... history.

From WETA "Telly Visions" blog: How historically accurate was "The Spanish Princess" on Starz:

Anyone here watch the show?
For novels, I enjoyed and own Jean Plaidy's Katherine of Aragon trilogy released as an omnibus edition.
