I loved those scenes, too. Claire's red gown bothered me, though. Not because of the color, but because the neckline was so vulgar.

That neckline was just a wee bit OTT, wasn't it?

The red dress didn't bother me. Mind you, the lady in the 'other' dress which Murtaugh couldn't take his eyes off was quite an eye opener! Lol. All I could think is how did they play that scene without bursting out laughing!

Now that dress was something. Almost Saturday - new episode.

I liked the casting of Richard Rankin as Roger. I'm less enthused about the actress for Brianna, but I'm sure she'll grow on me. :-)

At last, a British channel has picked up Outlander - More 4 will be showing it, sometime in June so finally those of us who don't have Amazon Prime can see it :D

Yes, it's starting on 29 June. It's great news for the show.

I watched the first episode last night and really enjoyed it, although I found Clare's voice-over a bit intrusive, but apart from that, I thought it was lovely! Bits of the book came back as well, like when Frank Randall sees the spooky Highlander looking up at their hotel room window I'd forgotten about that.

I've just realised I gave up watching the series at almost exactly the same point I gave up reading the books for exactly the same reason, despite finding Sam Heughan really quite delightful.

I have, however, been watching the excellent (though disturbing) Handmaiden's Tale and really (enjoying, probably isn't the correct word) appreciating it.
