I recently finished Storm of Swords and the unsullied are in this book along with what happened in episode four, but there are other events which have happened in the TV programme which aren't in SoS, so they are obviously taking bits from other books. It's quite confusing!

Or, they are adding some new ones which help set up events later. I've been really pleased by most of the new scenes the writers have added (sex scenes from the first season excepted) They give more depth to the characters and help people who haven't read the books get a better handle on whats going on.

Ah, that's interesting to know, Ash. I've only read up to and including Storm of Swords. I suppose it's difficult to show what's going on on screen, whereas in a book there's so much more scope.

[quote=""rebecca""]It was also great to see Dany finally, finally DO something and take charge of her own destiny! I actually didn't fast forward her scenes :D which I did before. This is where the TV version is different from the books.

Those scenes with the Unsullied are in the 3rd book, and the bit with the dragon is too. I remember thinking at the time I read it, that finally Dany was doing something apart from wittering all the time! And I didn't ff that scene either, thought it was awesome. Definitely an episode for the women.

As soon as that music and those titles start, I'm transported to that world. So many ad breaks though!

In the books I have a tendency to skim the Dany chapters, but in the TV show I thought episode 4 was outstanding! Dany is finally a force to be reckoned with. I think the producers have done a magnificent job and the sets are so totally believable. I love it! Can't wait for episode 5 tomorrow.

Am I the only one who feels a bit bereft when each programme finishes?!

I watched a bit of Thronecast last night until the laptop froze, there's quite a nice interview with the guy who plays Jaime.

Im totally surprised that an hour has passed, every single show. I turn to my DH and say - that was it? More, I want more! Ah well, maybe I should reread the books.

I wonder if this is the episode where Joffrey (what happened to the hide button?)

The Spoiler is the last button on right of your screen.

SPOILER
When I watch it I become so enthralled that the hour seems like only 20 minutes! Oh if only each show could be 2 hours long.....I think in Season 4 the producers will incorporate the second half of ASOS and AFFC, that way Tyrion will be in the show. I can't imagine GOT without Peter Dinklage.

As for cast interviews I don't get to see that here? Or do you find them on the net?

Yes I think ep 9 deals with what Bec says in her last spoiler, and would imagine Series 4 will be as Bec thinks, especially to keep Tyrion in it!

I watched the Thronecast on HBO's GofT website.

I was watching the opening titles of S3 on the laptop yesterday, and noticed that next to each actor's name on the credits is a little box which shows the sigil of the house belonging to their character. I love that they give so much attention to detail; I'd noticed the little boxes before but couldn't see what was in them (only got a 28 inch TV!). Another reason to love it.

And yes the hour zooms past.

When I set my TV to record the GoT series, it also seems to record Thronecast although I never asked for this - obviously thought I might like to watch it! LOL. It's a 20 minunte programme which has cast interviews, chats with a couple of American GoT fans and clips of next week's episode plus other chat. I don't know why and how it shows up on my list of recordings but it's always there every week! I'm not complaining!
