Did anyone watch last night's finale? It was certainly an emotional one. I enjoyed watching the show since the 1st series.
Of interest, here's an interview with Greg Austin (who played Gordon) and a video of his last day on set.
Also, Jeremy Piven offers his thoughts on the finale.

I've also enjoyed the series, even if there were many inaccuracies and, of course, fabricated characters.

Yes it was an enjoyable series over all - I thought they handled . I was in the real Selfridges yesterday, the interior is very different now I don't think Harry would recognise it.

I visited Selfridges during the past summer and thought the exact same thing, but I wonder how accurate the set-up of the TV store was. I do have the book Shopping, Seduction and Mr Selfridge by Lindy Woodhead (NF) on my Kindle that was the inspiration for the show, but I have not yet read it.Madeleine wrote:I was in the real Selfridges yesterday, the interior is very different now I don't think Harry would recognise it.

Like the series. The last season was dramatic, but good.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

I loathe the shop (apart from the food hall) because I can never find my way out.

Oh yes, a lot of big stores are like that! Probably do it deliberately in the hope that customers will get distracted and spend more money....

- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Ikea is set up that way. You have to go the whole circuit or backtrack completely. My solution? I just tell a staff member I HAVE to find the bathroom downstairs, I left my phone. And they produce a key and release me from the maze.

IKEA's awful - only been there once and that was enough

I go to one of the smaller Ikea stores and it's fine. You can skip out really quickly.
Selfridges has a double problem. It also takes an age to escape from Oxford Street which I also hate. I largely only go there to support HMV (now that my local one has gone).
