What Movies Have You Seen Lately?

Post by Nefret » Wed December 5th, 2012, 7:01 pm

The last thread was getting long, so I started a shiny new one.

Becket (1964) Liked it, but I preferred The Lion in Winter.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

I can't wait to see Lincoln and wonder if next year Day Lewis will once again be awarded the Oscar?

I also want to see Moonrise Kingdom when it's released on DVD.

As for Becket it was OK but I did read where Burton and O'Toole would arrive on set totally plastered and by the perfomances I can believe it...I love The Lion in Winter.

I watched on the weekend The Dark Knight Rises  *sigh* and was bored rigid!!! The worst Batman movie I've seen, which is a pity because I like Christian Bale as Batman.

Bec :)

Merlin's Apprentice (sequel to the TV movie, but not as good. Still amusing though.)

The Hunger Games. Quite good. I believe I'll read the books now.

Batman Rises - I didn't think it was as good as The Dark Knight but entertaining enough. Could've done without the mask which Tom Hardy was wearing!

"Skyfall", most excellent! Wish I could say more but even with the spoiler tag in here it'll still show in emails.

Looks like no Les Mis on island til Jan. Also learned that Kevin Bacon's sister lives here and he goes to the theatre with her now and then. Now I understand why his band played such a tiny venue a few years ago!

Pocahontas- both Disney versions. I liked them better when I originally saw them.

I want to watch the Christmas Carol specials, but I keep only watching the Blackadder one. :p
