Saw her perform live in New Faces of 1952 and a few years later at the Fairmont in San Francisco. Unique voice, ultimate "sex kitten" and no one could sing Santa Baby, I Want to be Evil, and Monotonous as well as she did.

Another blast from the past. She was wonderful as catwoman.

Oh wow - she's one of those people I had assumed had passed on years ago. What a voice - and Santa Baby is hers, its the one holiday song I look forward to hearing over and over....RIP, there aren't many voices like hers any more.

I hadn't heard that she had died! She definitely had a unique sound! I loved her as the voice of Izma (sp) in The Emperor's New Groove!

That's one of my favourite animated movies, she was Yzma (you were close). "WRONG LEVER!" (in her voice of course).

Ms. Kitt had a wonderful voice, so sultry and just ooozed sex appeal. As far as I am concerned, she was -the- catwoman, and the way that she could purr with her voice.
