East vs West Crusade

Post by Rowan » Thu March 21st, 2013, 1:36 pm

I am currently listening to The Sheen on the Silk by Anne Perry which is set in 13th cent. Constantinople. There is constant mention of a crusade where the Latins came and destroyed the city. Which of the many crusades was this?

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
