St. Louis's Sister All Rolled Up

Post by SonjaMarie » Wed December 17th, 2008, 6:42 pm

Years ago I was reading a book on St. Louis of France (I believe) and I read that his sister was so small that when they were packing up a palace or what have you, she got rolled up in the bedding.

Can anyone verify if what I remember is correct or can you correct me? Thanks!

According to Wikipedia, Louis IX (St. Louis) had three sisters:

Blanche (1205–1206)
Agnes (b. and d. 1207)
Isabel (14 April 1225 – 23 February 1269)

Isabel is the only possible (small) sister. She is also a saint, but there is nothing in her Wikipedia article about the story mentioned.

French royalty is nowhere near my specialty, but I will post the story on the royalty forum I moderate and see if anyone there knows anything about this story.
