The 2013 Man Booker shortlist has been announced, and yet again historical fiction (of the more literary sort) features large. Three of the six titles listed could be counted as HF - Jim Crace's Harvest, Colm Toibin's Testament of Mary and Eleanor Catton's Luminaries ( which I'll be rooting for because the author's a Kiwi!).
More info at the Guardian with reviews of the shortlisted novels.
