Just back last night from this; had an amazing time. Ruth Downie, fellow Roman author was also there. So too were nearly two centuries of legionaries. Amazing! Roll on next year, when they're aiming for a full cohort (480 men).

Looks like tons of fun! All the reenactments in our area are American Revolution and Renaissance Fairs. Nary a Roman to be found.

I'm jealous! I'd love to see some "real" Romans in action :) Unfortunately re-enactment isn't much of a deal here, though I know of one lot who enjoy knocking each other off their horses doing a bit of medieval-style jousting.
