wow, so Winston Churchill was descended from John Marshal! Was that through William and his daughters or one of John's other children?

ps: I just did an image search for Damien van Zyl. Thanks EC for brightening my day!
I can't remember the details of from which side - maternal or paternal Winston got his Marshal blood, but yes, it was down one of the lines from William Marshal's daughters - don't remember which daughter either! :o

As to the Damien Van Zyl lookalike thing. It is a very long and very strange story concerned with my alternative researches. On day I may tell it in full, but not quite yet; however DVZ is as close as you're going to get!
DVZ is currently modeling for Thomas Sabo jewellery and you can get an idea from these two short videos of their campaign

and the new campaign for autumn winter

Must admit their campaigns don't make me want to rush out and buy the stuff! Is it available in the UK, I've never seen it in any of the stores?

Yes, but mostly top end stores like Harrods. You're unlikely to find much of it down the highstreet. I love it!
