An interesting bit of trivia for those of you who've read The Winthrop Woman

I recently read the Wikipedia article on Meg Whitman, who is currently running for governor of my state. It says she was born on Long Island and that her father's name is Hendricks Hallett Whitman.

Could it be she is a descendent of Elizabeth and Will Hallett?! I would love to know. I submitted this question via her website, but never got an answer.... :(

Interesting. The Winthrop Woman has long been a favorite of mine.
Browse over 5000 historical novel listings (probably well over 5000 by now, but I haven't re-counted lately) and over 700 reviews at www.HistoricalNovels.info

I was kind of disappointed that no one on her staff bothered to answer my query. They probably think I'm some kind of weirdo. They don't know I'm just a harmless geek!
