Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

I always had the opinion Amazon would rather she wasn't on their site, all the complaints they had to deal with. She hasn't been #1 since 2008, and she's steadily fallen in ranking. There's a thread at the Vine forums (no link, those are supposed to be private), that's starting to devolve into black humor.

Yeah, with Amazon trying to combat fake reviews/reviews for hire, I would have thought they probably wished they could stop Harriet, but didn't have enough proof that her reviews were fake. Although one person did manage to prove that she was selling advanced review copies under her son's name, which is illegal (arc's being "not for resale"), but doesn't prove her reviews were fake.

I think if it could have been proved that she was a review consortium they could off yanked her ranking, but that's all. Selling ARCs is not cool.

A nice little tribute from Amazon.

Sad for her family.
