Virtual Costumes

Post by Julianne Douglas » Wed October 1st, 2008, 10:44 pm

Since from Michelle's thread it doesn't seem as if too many people are dressing up for Halloween, why don't we play it a different way---

If you could dress up as someone historical for Halloween, who would it be and why? What would your costume look like?

Oh, I was thinking about that!! If I could dress up, I'd probably choose something medieval. Or maybe something really over-the-top like this.

I don't normally do parties like that, but theoretically, I would be Darth Vader. I'm pretty tall....

Ohhh... wait. I think I've changed my mind. How about Cleopatra? Of course, if that's too overdone, there's always the authentic-looking Trojan woman.

Here's one of me in an SCA costume, an interpetation of a woman's dress in the 12th century that I took from a manuscript drawing (I don't know if the link will work or not)

I think Mother Shiptonwould be a good one for Hallowe'en! Her prophecy is fascinating.
