Amazon Fresh

Post by Misfit » Wed June 1st, 2011, 12:39 am

Oh dear. They now have deliveries available in my neighborhood. Produce. Beverages. Yukon river salmon. Artisan breads. Plus, you can add those little Amazon extras: books, electronics and more delivered right to your door.

I'm toast :o

Misfit, the kitty looks righfully excited ... and a wee bit scared ...

I've spent entire evenings lusting over the groceries available from the local "we deliver from all the BEST markets" service, I know the temptation you're managing. Best of luck with it - whether that means staying strong, or buying well, you know best!

I'm guessing the delivery areas are slowly being expanded. They've been around with this for a bit and I just now got the email that they'd deliver to me in Kent. Haven't explored what the delivery charges are yet, if any.

I know. Like I really needed to have this option. Order up a filet, a salad, rustic bread, a CD, a movie and a book or two. Gawd, what temptation :D

Sounds too delish - you're getting ME thinking about actually taking the plunge, Misfit!

Amazon fresh in the Antipodes?

Post by Greg » Thu June 2nd, 2011, 8:51 am

Y'know down here I suspect it will be decades before we get a company like Amazon to do similar. I often feel the Antipodes is still stuck in a 1970's mind set.

Regards Greg
