I have to ask, the royals, have money. Surely Beatrice has some cash behind her name. Couldn't she get a handler to tell her yes you look good or no what are you thinking? Or is that something the royals do not do?

I'm not even sure I can bring myself to call the thing on Beatrice's head a "hat".

There's an entire Facebook page devoted to the Hat:

One site actually thought Beatrice's hat worked. Another said it looked like she was wearing a beige octopus.

Kate will usher in a new era of taste and style. Go Duchess/Princess Kate!

Edited to add: EC it is majorly cool that you saw the dress before in your mind.

EC: Dang it! I was going to say that Beatrice looked like a Gaga Reject! And who ever said the young can't look dowdy?! (What was Eugenie thinking, can she honestly thing that outfit was attractive on her or would look good to the public at large?!)

Beatrice's hat did look ridiculous, but the dress (and I am judging from what I can see in the photo upthread) looked respectfully conservative. I actually think the color looks good on her, if she had only chosen a more conservative hat to go with it.
