The Most Amusing Thing Today

Right, well we have best, annoying and worst thing that has happened to us on any given day. I say it's time we address the funny side of life. Share something so we can either laugh at you or with you.

Well this was last night. I'm reading "1000 Years of Annoying the French" and the first chapter is on how William the Conqueror was not French, no matter what the French might think, because he was Norman. At one point the author says that the king was faithful to his wife and had no bastards and it has an asterix to look below for more info and it said "Definitely not French, then.", that and other amusing bits had me laughing and giggling!

Englishman, of course :) Stephen Clarke, though he lives in Paris now.

I think I may watch that one for ratings and reviews. It's a good title as far as getting attention and the cover leaves no mistake about the content.

Well here's a really crazy/funny one. What with all the publicity surrounding the royal wedding and (over here) the eagerly awaited (by most people, including myself) historic Queen's visit to Ireland,it must all finally be getting to me. A few nights ago I had a dream that I was the first to greet the Queen on her arrival and was so overwhelmed by the occasion that I bowed so low and lost my balance and nearly toppled over, much to the hilarity and contempt of everybody I knew.I can remember really feeling mortified. It was a real nightmare of a dream and lasted a long time and also included amongst other craziness an horrendous incident where during the Queens stay in my house, I got her dentures mixed up with my mother's ones  . Like all nightmares it was genuinely very upsetting while being experienced and I was greatly relieved to wake up and try to shake it off. I told my wife about it and she had as good a belly laugh over it as I've seen her have for a long time.Thank goodness we're not held accountable for the nonsense we dream. And I'll just have to get over not being invited to either of the royal occasions :D
