I had some stomach pains last night and I couldn't concentrate on reading so I went to bed early, sigh! Much better now though!

World War 3 broke out over a birthday gift and I had to take it away from everyone (birthday was yesterday). Husband had a kind of breakdown. And everyone I called for help was either not home, too far away, or busy.

Moral of story: don't get your kids something they like, their little brother might like it too.

A family member is currently at the hospital because he fell off a ladder. He has had to have stitches, and they think he has chipped his elbow, but they can't put his arm into a cast because the stitches are too near to the elbow.

At one point they were worried about neck injuries, and a broken jaw, so it could have been worse.

Hope he makes a good recovery, Diamondlil. Sounds quite painful. And you're right, it could have been worse.

Wow! Ladders are dangerous things. Hope he heals quickly.

The gift in question was James of "Thomas the Tank Engine" fame. Autistic kids just love Thomas. Actually so do neurotypical kids. I'd forgotten how much Ben loves the color red. My oldest tried to break up the fight and got pinched for his effort. Poor James is going to have to sit in a drawer for a while.
