Argh, the official temp is currently 92 but with our humidity it is downright not fun. If I walk away from the fan the sweat is literally pouring out of every pore on my body, and no relief through Thursday. It's so hot Tater doesn't even have the energy to pick on Misfit. That's hot.
At home with a good book and the cat...
...is the only place I want to be

And my Seattle daughter is glad she is here where it is 78 and thundering.

You all don't get many 90-plus degree days in Washington State, do you? Now here in NC 92 is a not-so-bad summer day . . .

Not on the west side of the mountains anyway, and not for five days in a row. Even when we do get that hot we still usually have a decent cool down at night, but not this week. 6AM and it's already over 70.

Yes, we do. My daughter says that most people in your area do not have AC. Think cool thoughts!

Worst thing today was watching the repatriation of 4 of our lads' bodies from Afghanistan on the news - one of them is the son of a colleague.

Bring our boys back!
