I sometimes have a harder time finding a thread on this forum than I do finding my car in the parking lot when I come out of a store!!!
Anyway, somewhere on here just a while ago, someone posted that Anthony Burgess has written some good books on the English language. I am really interested in the etymology and evolution of the English language, so I zipped over to Amazon really quick to check out his books. Then I zipped back here to post a reply and thank that person for mentioning his books -- only now I can't find the thread to save my life!!!
So whoever you are, thanks for mentioning the books. His A Mouthful of Air looks very interesting. There are also some books by Bill Crystal that I hope to get to one of these days......
