I need help finding a book

Post by Divia » Tue December 29th, 2009, 5:05 pm

I'm confused, hence the thread. I am trying to find May Alcott a memoir by Caroline Ticknor. I have found some used copies but since it was published in 1928 the prices are a bit high. Unless I get a book that isn't in the best condition, and I do want to read it.

Kessinger Publishing made copies in 2004. But when I go to their site there is no record of it. And some sites say when it becomes available they will ship it??

I've checked all the used book sites and I'm not coming up with anything decent. (Abe, Alibris, Amazon, book finder)

Does anyone know where else I can go to find the book? I need a tight clean copy(not library) for around 30 bucks. (I feel like I'm askin for the moon)

When I keyed that info into Google shopping I get this,

I think there's some kind of odd ball hard to find old used book seller that's on my favorites at home. I'll hunt it down later.

Did you try for an ILL or do you have to own it?
At home with a good book and the cat...
...is the only place I want to be

its a ex library copy. I want it for my collection, and to read. So I dont want a lib book, thus making it harder to find.

Sorry, I tried my usual book finding "magic" and only came up with cheap ex-library ones which you don't want :(
