It's gray and overcast. It's forecasted to rain tonight and all day tomorrow.

Madeleine, we're getting our first snow today in the mid-Atlantic - shouldn't be much, but it's pretty at the moment.

Rain, and speaking of rain, thought I'd share this comparison of rain totals of Washington (state) vs. UK. http://komonews.com/weather/scotts-weat ... 02-14-2016

One year when I had to teach a 6th grade self contained class (all the subjects) and geography was the social studies, I discovered that Washington state (where my daughter was living at the time) and the UK had the same climate, "something" coastal climate. I can't recall the exact term.Misfit wrote:Rain, and speaking of rain, thought I'd share this comparison of rain totals of Washington (state) vs. UK. http://komonews.com/weather/scotts-weat ... 02-14-2016
Here in New Jersey, we are continuing with our "bipolar" climate: 8F/-13C right now with snow, sleet and freezing rain Monday. On Tuesday, it is "spring" again with temps 56F/13C. I don't know what the plants will do when it really is spring. They must be very confused!

Yes Susan our plants are confused too, it was so mild up til and just after Christmas that things were coming up much earlier, then we had a cold snap and they were stopped in their tracks.
Saturday it rained most of the day, yesterday was nice and sunny to begin with the just got colder and colder, had another sprinkling of snow overnight and now it's cold and sunny again.

We have yet to have a cold snap this year. Just mild, warmer than normal temps and lots of rain :/

That's what it was like here, until well into January. Now we're on our second cold snap. The magnolias are starting to come out, and the daffodils and crocuses are all out too, or just about to flower, so I hope the cold doesn't kill them all!Misfit wrote:We have yet to have a cold snap this year. It's pretty sunny.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Just got about 12mm of rain in 30 minutes. Now the sun's out and it's as humid as ... (insert appropriate imagery here)
