Proofreading Can Kill!

Post by SonjaMarie » Wed September 16th, 2009, 5:47 am

So I'm reading a book about London Cemeteries and I'm on the section about Highgate's Western Section and I come across the entry for William Hepworth Dixon, I recognize the name cause he wrote a book about the Tower of London, it says he died of "strenuous overnight proofreading"! Yikes!

Calvin, explaining his "fictional autobiography" to Hobbes: "It's the story of my life, but with a lot of things completely made up." Hobbes: "Why would you make up your own life?" Calvin: "Because in my book I have a flame thrower!"
