A book Challenge: Who will join me?

Post by Divia » Wed August 19th, 2009, 10:49 pm

As I weaved through the landmine that I call my bedroom, I realized most of the items I was weaving around were unread books that I had bought and stacked. Like most of you the stacks are high..and are numerous. I need to stop buying books for a while. I decided to challenge myself...

I have vowed not to buy a new book for the next two months. Is anyone willing to join the challenge? :D I really need to thin out the collection.

How about- "I swear that I will give away one book for each new one I buy"?!

I promised myself the other day that "this is it"! I can tell that it only lasted for a few hours.

I can join but.....does my preorder for Echo in the Bone count? If so then I'm out. Otherwise I'm safe as I just bought all those Pamela Belle books so I should be a happy camper for while.

Since I don't have any where near the level of amount of books you guys do in a TBR I need to add to what I read at least once a month unless something I've been watching comes up cheap.

Rules rules rules, we need more rules :o ;)

Do library holds count? Say if I get bored with my pile and go on a Mary Stewart binge at the library? No cashing in PBS points?

If PBS doesn't count I'm in. I was actually doing OK until I discovered Pamela Belle. Then every thing went to hell in a hand basket :o

Two series, set during England's Civil War and Restoration plus one set during Richard III (which I am currently reading). Best info here. I read Moon in the Water last week and enjoyed it very much, waiting to get my hands on the next two in the trilogy.
