Gracious - bronchitis does seem to be rampant this year, and I am *still* fighting to get over it over two weeks in now. Been slowly getting better, but spending another day working from home yesterday to be here while my bathroom was demolished and the moisture remediation work begun, and I fear the antimicrobial spray and the dust set me back. Le sigh.
I still haven't gotten the interview put together for ECM.
With a $500 deductible and an "extra" plumbing job under the wall while it's exposed, I'm going to be out of pocket upwards of $1500, which is a massive bite for a secretary with no husband to haul home a second income. Thank goodness my plumbing company is doing a payment plan. But that's it for any thought of my first vacation in two years. Blah.

LH and Diane, so sorry to hear about the family and personal woes. Hope you're feeling better soon. In the last two days I've read on line and heard on NPR that houses (particularly with unventilated kitchens) can contain as much pollution as the worst Beijing smog. I'm pretty skeptical of "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" health stories, but the science in these was pretty compelling. Given my stove is not ventilated to the outside and for the first time in my life, I've been plagued with a persistent racking cough that my doctor described as asthmatic (she put me on inhalers for a couple of weeks) I'm giving this one some credence. Besides, I've been wanting to renovate the kitchen!

Thank you, Faith and erychwydd! Faith, I think I've read similar things about 'canned' air - unventilated living and working spaces can be toxic, it's true.
Oddly enough, I mowed the grass yesterday, and - of all things - the sinus irritation from the dust and grass and things seems to actually be adding to the mucus and making it *easier* to cough, so I'm feeling pretty good. Count on me to find a weird way to get better ...
I was a very very bad child yesterday and went shoe shopping with a friend from work. The logic being, as far in the hole as I am, another few dollars could not hurt much more. I don't generally go in for the stereotype of women and shopping, but I *did* get the place to take two coupons so I got two pair of great work shoes for $70, both of them very vintage-y (my first pair of spectator pumps!) and good on comfort too. And here begynneth the payment plan ... !

Missing out on going out of town. For the only reason of my being bad at communicating last time.
(And that would not happened again).

Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

A favourite character in a series I'm reading was murdered by accident, just a child at that, made me sad and mad at the author.
