After waiting almost 2 months my 1821 2vol set of "The History of England" by Elizabeth Helme with an illustration of Lady Jane in the 2 book finally arrived. Of course I did pay for it to come by sea, but I thought 2 months was a long time. I got it cheap ($15.98), the only other copy, and I'm not sure if it's both books or just one of them, costs $159 online.

My copy of "The Tudor Rose" decided to come in the mail. (And played more of the "Gardening Mama" video game.)

Recent addition to my current work load and my supervisors- submit hours, earnings, really our entire trial balance for our hospital to the Ministry of Health. I am really, really green at this and have spent a week worrying, but we finally got my Ministry of Health reporting submission to go through to our Ministry without errors! When it goes through without errors you get a big, green happy face to replace the error reports of the 7 previous tries this week!

I have never, ever been so happy to see a happy face! :D

Glad all your books finally showed up!

Got to go to a dinner last night; fascinating speech from Bill Clinton (boosted my opinion of him immensely), music from James Taylor. Only flaw? 1/4 glass of wine plus three bites chocolate cake dessert equals 1 migraine.

Now back to reality (ugly) today.

For the last few years I have been using a computer monitor that flickered and went black whenever it got too warm. I had turned the brightness right down, but still it constantly turned itself off - very annoying.

On Saturday I went and bought a new monitor, in 23" flat screen glory! Woo-hoo!

Finally deciding what to write for NaNoWriMo and beating the wordcount for the first day despite being surrounded by noisy kids and feeling rather under the weather.

Just realised it's my half-birthday! (though why I'm excited about getting half a year older, I don't know).

Plus, had a great eighth date last night (within the space of three weeks) - not that I'm counting of course...
