But all the seasons seem to merge into one! Just sort of murky!!!!
Just curious..... is Seasonal Affective Disorder much of an issue in Britain? I know that it is in many places here in the States where the weather is predominantly "gloomy." And also in northern Canada, where they have very long winters (that's according to friends of mine who live in Alberta).
I know that for me, even as mild as our winters are here, after a couple days of overcast skies and/or rain I really feel my spirits sink. Good thing I live in a sunny climate! (today it was 109....)

Yesterday I had my last wisdom teeth removed. You might think that a bad thing, but it was causing me a lot of pain, so it's good it's out!

Yes, I think there is a fair amount of SAD in the UK. It seems to be getting worse, too.

For me personally, it seems to be getting worse as I get older. For instance, much of my childhood and teenage years were spent in the Pacific Northwest -- where it rains a lot! And I think it even rained more back when I was young, because I can remember lots of rainy days in the summertime. And it never bothered me -- in fact, well into my 20s and even early 30s I thought I might like to move back to Oregon someday. But somewhere along the way I began to be affected by that type of weather. Now I know it would be really tough for me to survive in such a climate. Others complain about our hot summers here, but I don't complain a bit because hot = sunshine .....

Where are you going, Nefret? I have to say if Britain had the weather, I don't think going abroad would have the same lure. But all the seasons seem to merge into one! Just sort of murky!!!!
Canada. Around 1,000 miles North of me. Barely over the border. But it still counts, right?

Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Yes, it absolutely counts! -- especially considering that going through customs between the US and Canada is fairly strict. At least it is in the airports -- I don't know how stringent customs is if you're driving.

It will be my first time leaving the U.S.

Another member going away
Another member going on vacation! I've got a lot of vacation time that I've got to use before the end of the year.
I'm off to Croatia (1st time visit) for the week. I've been overseas a few times so I'm seasoned. Should be fun; see you all when I get back!
