Not as exciting as a new baby by any stretch, but last night at the mall, I found a $20 bill on the floor. There was no one nearby who would obviously have dropped it. I felt bad, but hey, I don't get that kinda luck very often. Put it in my kitty (I have a kitty container for my loose change) until I decide what to do with it.

We've been petless for a few years now. My cats were already middle-aged when the girls were babies, so they haven't yet experienced the joy of having a baby animal to care for. Anyway... I broke down and got them hamsters this weekend. We've been building a hamster metropolis today. This will be the trial program for possibly getting them a cat or dog next year. I've never had hamsters before, so it's a learning experience for me as well.

Well just make sure if you end up getting a cat, that said cat does not eat the hamsters.

HOLY MACKEREL! You're lucky! How long will you be gone? I'm super jealous but can't imagine what that's going to cost, hopefully you found some super great deal! Bring loads of sunscreen and a hat!
