Apparently KH mentioned in one of his letter to AB, that he was "looking forward to kissing her dukkys" -maybe what this searcher had in mind. What is a dukky, though ?! (Apart from one of Anne B's breasts, of course--) Aha- Tudor teminology for, you guessed it, breasts!

Thank you Annis - query solved! Well, it is for us anyway. Interesting letter, and what a contrast to his letter to Jane Seymour which is quoted in the comments. No mention of dukkies in that one!

The Vatican really was the centre of a vast espionage spider's web, wasn't it? You have to wonder what else is lurking in its secret archives- no wonder it's been the subject of so many "Da Vinci Code"-type thrillers in recent times. Strange that Anne B never noticed that her letters were vanishing, though.
Interesting detail- Henry originally wrote these letters in French.

Someone found my blog today by googling "Margaret Beaufort's witch trial"

Oh, no. Yet more Wars of the Roses-era witches. Before that, there was "graphic account cleopatra's death photos"
