Is it just me that finds such a precise dating for such an ancient event (and one surrounded in such myth) somewhat unreliable???

June 12th 1963..."Cleopatra" starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton premiers at the Rivoli Theater NYC....So much hype....For me personally a real disappointment....I thought ET or RB are miscasts in the film....Plus it was 4 hours in long.....BTW...Production started in 1960...Original budget was 2 million ended up almost bankrupting 20th Century Fox....44 million spent.....Along with the famous "Affair" and ET almost dying of pneumonia.....
