RIP Hilary Mantel

Post by Madeleine » Fri September 30th, 2022, 11:01 am

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this, she died a few days ago, of a stroke apparently. I still have Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies to read, but loved the TV series. A sad loss.

Interest in HF: The first historical novel I read was Katherine by Anya Seton and this sparked off my interest in this genre.
Favourite HF book: Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell!

Yes, it’s very sad. A big loss to the literary world.
