I’m reading The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. It’s set in the 1930s and it’s a story based around the Kentucky Pack Horse Librarians.

I’m also reading via Pigeonhole Sundial by Catriona Ward, a creepy family drama. I’m not sure about it so far.

Just finished China: The Novel by Edward Rutherfurd. The story goes from the Opium Wars through the last dynasty. Liked it, as I have all his books, especially Paris. Then, as a counterpoint, listened to The Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang, a chilling non-fiction account of a mostly forgotten massacre in the former capital of China in 1937-1938 by the Japanese Army. This was a free Audible book & was worthwhile yet horrifying. Had barely heard about the event before. Very strong conclusion to the book. Recommend both, but you need a strong stomach for The Rape of Nanking, as the title suggests.
