I've just started "The Silver Collar" by Antonia Hodgson, the 4th book in the Thomas Hawkins series, more escapades in 18th century London!

I watched the TV series years ago and it inspired me to read the books. Went back and watched again a while ago when it was on YouTube.

Just saw this thread again & I have to say I found War & Remembrance, which is the sequel to Winds of War, so powerful & memorable that I have recommended it to several friends.
