Happy New Year! 🥳
I’m reading Hitler’s Secret by Rory Clements, a spy thriller. I think it’s the fourth in a series but I haven’t read the others. It’s a book I’ve received to review.
I’m also reading via Pigeonhole Dreamland by Nancy Bilyeau, a drama set in 1911 on Coney Island.

I've just started Murder at the Fitzwilliam by Jim Eldridge, first in a series of new murder mysteries, set in Cambridge in 1894.

I just started re-reading Pompeii by Robert Harris.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Re: What Are You Reading January 2020?
I’m reading The Willow Marsh Murder by Karen Charlton. It’s the sixth in the Detective Lavender mysteries, an enjoyable series based on a real life detective and true crime cases set in Regency England.
I’m also reading via Pigeonhole The Sisters Grimm by Menna Van Praag. I’m on the seventh stave and enjoying it. It’s quite surreal but intriguing. There’s a lot going on in it so I’m having to concentrate! It’s about four Grimm sisters (as per the title) all born to different mothers. They find each other at 8 years old, are separated at 13 and now, at nearly 18, they have to find each other once again to meet their father and prepare for battle in Everwhere, an enchanted forest. Fairyland, I guess!

Re: What Are You Reading January 2020?
A few titles I read lately:
In the Shadow of Vesuvius by Tasha Alexander
The latest and #14 installment of the "Lady Emily Mystery" series. I've been following this series since it started.
The Prince of Souls by Lynn Kurland
The latest and #12 in the "9 Kingdoms" series, a fantasy romance. Another series I've followed over years. The author went on break for a time after the previous novel.
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, illustrations by Tasha Tudor
I read this novel as a kid. Since there's a new movie adaptation coming out this spring, I thought I'd read this again. (The 1993 movie may be the most familiar one to folks)
The Romanov Empress by C.W. Gortner
Re-read this novel in paperback.
