I’ve just finished The Anarchists’ Club by Alex Reeve, the second in the Leo Stanhope series. It’s about a transgender amateur detective set in Victorian London. It’s a great series so far.

I’m reading The House We Grew Up In by Lisa Jewell. A contemporary, multi timeline family drama set in the Cotswolds.

I am re-listening to Paris by Edward Rutherfurd. I am enjoying it, but have been having a little problem with the jumps between years going forward & backward. If I remember from the first time, the end of the book was what I liked best, so I'm looking forward to that WWII section. Nice narration with proper French pronunciation.

I read the first stave of The Disappeared by Amy Lord on Pigeonhole today. It’s a dystopian story set in Britain post Brexit. Makes quite scary reading!

I’m just about to start The Ghost of Hollow House by Linda Stratmann, a Victorian ghost story. It’s the fourth in the Mina Scarletti series. I haven’t read the previous three books, but apparently it can be read as a stand-alone. I’m reviewing it for Sapere Books.

Yes, it’s out on the 24th of this month. I’ve bought the kindle copy of the first book as it’s 99p at the moment. The second one is available via the library. So just need the third one to become available at 99p or the library to get it in.

I’ve only read the prologue but am liking the writing style.

Scottish Queens 1034-1714 by Rosalind K. Marshall (NF)
As the title indicates, a collective biography of Scotland's Queens. This book is among my trove of books that I bought while my (just completed) vacation in Edinburgh and London!
