Having finished The wonderful Clockmaker’s Daughter by Kate Morton, I’m now reading The Corset by Laura Purcell via Pigeonhole. It’s a gothic Victorian ghost story.

I have enjoyed several of Kearsley's novels, although i can think of one that was a dud. Was considering ordering this. What didn't you like about it?
Nothing happened. I am in a terrible reading slump at the moment.

I just started The Winter King by Bernard Cornwell.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

I'm reading The Last Will and Testament of the Pirate John Blackjohn. It's a new publication and honestly one of the best HF books I've read in ages. It has all the right elements, Scottish highlands, adventures at sea. strong female characters, a touch of myth and fantasy, and it's meticulously researched. It gripped me right away. A perfect cozy tale for an autumn evening. I got it on Amazon. Kindle version just 0.99!
