Rereading Young and Damned and Fair by Gareth Russell (NF)
I read the hardback copy from the library last year. I bought the paperback edition when it came here in the US not long ago. It's a well-written biography about Katherine Howard.

I've just started "The Mermaid's Scream" by Kate Ellis, the latest in the Wesley Peterson crime series set in Devon, but which have a parallel historical storyline (this one has already mentioned two infamous murder cases ,the Radcliffe Highway and the Red Barn murder).

Just started The Poison Bed by Elizabeth Fremantle via the Pigeonhole app. It’s a thriller set in the Jacobean court of 1615 based on a real case, the murder of Thomas Overbury.

I’m also now reading The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce.

I'm currently reading Voyager by Diana Gabaldon.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Preferred HF: I like a series the best - more to look forward to after one book ends. Masters of Rome, The Century Trilogy, & the Outlander series are some of my favorites.

I read a fun historical fiction book while on vacation - The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey. It's a mystery set in 1920s India about the first female attorney in Bombay. I liked the plucky protagonist, who gets into some scrapes & some serious situations, & has help from family & a former schoolmate to overcome those. I hadn't read anything by this author before, but she also has a series of books set in Japan with a female main character, which I will definitely check out.
