I just finished Mudbound by Hillary Jordan - a heart-wrenching, but a very worthwhile read. I saw the last novel in the Brother Cadfael series at the library the other day so I picked it up so I can finally finish the series - The Holy Thief by Ellis Peters is what I am currently reading.
I haven't been reading as much as usual this year. I've been preoccupied with writing articles about the Romanovs for Unofficial Royalty, the royalty website I help administer. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the executions of 14 Romanovs during the summer of 1918, we will be publishing articles for all the tsars, emperors, spouses and notable children. Considering that we had articles only for the last three Emperors of All Russia, there were a lot of articles to write - over 50!

Re: What are you reading in April?
I’ve also started reading The House on Half Moon Street by Alex Reeve. It’s via the Pigeonhole app. I receive a ‘stave’ each day for 10 days, amounting to about 30 minutes reading time each. It’s like reading a serialisation. I found out about the app via a competition on Facebook to win the serialisation of The Haunted Queen by Alison Weir. Sadly I didn’t win this one but I applied for The House on Half Moon Street. It seems quite a fun way of reading. I’ve only received the first stave, which I enjoyed, so am looking forward to receiving the second tomorrow.

Immortal Reign by Morgan Rhodes (YA)
#6 and final novel in the "Falling Kingdoms" series
I read the 1st half of this teen fantasy series but didn't keep up with it. Too many other books! When the final installment was out at Barnes and Noble, I borrowed the novels I'd missed (#4-5) and the new one from the public library.
