I'm not reading anything, alas! We had a pipe break upstairs on September 15th, completely flooding the front half of the house. Now we're in a frantic race to at least get the kitchen useable before winter--and we're doing it ourselves, since all the contractors around here were already busy catching up to the record rainfall that started the year, and now the labor pool has all gone up to the North Bay to rebuild after the terrible fires.
Which is why I haven't been around the boards much this last month!

I'm re-reading Lady of the English by Elizabeth Chadwick.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Blumming heck, Emily! I hope things are getting sorted. Eek!
I’m about to start Strange Sight by Syd Moore, the second in the Essex Witch Museum mysteries. It’s a book I have to review. I enjoyed the first one, Strange Magic.

On no Emily I know the pain of having a burst pipe decimate half your home. I hope you're able to restore as much comfort as possible by the time winter sets in.
