Just started... Tales Before Tolkien: The Roots of Modern Fantasy and After the King: Stories in Honor of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Queen of Bedlam by Laura Purcell (I think it was previously published as God Save the King?). About George III and his family. Understandably pretty heavy so far.

Re: What are you reading January 2017?
I remember almost buying the original for Kindle, but didn't because I was feeling more into a different time period at the time. Then when I went back to find it, it was no longer available. But I eventually found out about the republish, and am now reading a library copy.Misfit wrote:I have the original version of that languishing on my Kindle.Lisa wrote:Queen of Bedlam by Laura Purcell (I think it was previously published as God Save the King?). I borrowed this from the library and enjoyed it. The novel is the companion to the TV series. No author's note or anything at the end.Misfit wrote:Victoria by Daisy Goodwin.
